You can obtain the most comprehensive weather
information by listening to a NOAA Weather Radio. NOAA stands for the
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Weather Radio is
operated by National Weather Service offices across the country and
broadcasts frequently updated recordings containing current weather
conditions, local forecasts, recreational and climatological data.
During threatening weather, live broadcasts are made of warnings for
high winds, large hail, tornadoes, flash floods and winter storms.
Specially built receivers can be set to audibly warn when one of these
weather warnings is broadcast. You can purchase a tone-alert NOAA
